A message from Mike
As Kev’s manager, we spend endless hours having spirited conversations about numerous issues, what’s happening in the world, politics, religion, social beliefs etc, and one thing that we have in common is our appreciation for our families and friends.
Kev has an attitude that family always comes first, no matter what. He is a proud father of two and has an absolute love for his five grandchildren.
A lot of people wouldn’t realize that Kev was once a country singer, who has written and recorded a number of serious songs, not only for himself but also for other artists.
He had two songs on Slim Dusty’s 100th album for instance, along with a number of others that he’s never bothered recording.
One of these is a happy little track that he wrote for his grandkids. Whenever they visit him, they are always quick to request this special song, and he’s happy to grab the guitar and they all join in.
My kids, along with friends and others who frequent our office with their kids, all love to hear Kevin Bloody Wilson belt out this tune with gusto - and without any swear words!
I found myself again listening to the song this week, but want to make it clear that it is not intended to look like we are -cashing in’ on the current publicity surrounding a great Australian that has just passed away.
This is a fitting time to listen to this song, and I believe a great tribute to a great man.
Ladies and Gentlemen, enjoy the following -

Good on ya Mike, I played it to my kids and they loved it - I reckon it’s a fitting song to a man is so recognized for doing his best, you should send it to triple J or the commercial stations, I’m sure they’d love it!
