Beaconsfield Mining Escape

Filed under: Kev Talks Crap — Administrator @ 8:55 am

We would have all heard of the amazing rescue of the 2 miners nearly a kilometre below the surface, and the fantastic news that after nearly 14 days they are now safe and again with their families.

We received the news that whilst the boys were fighting for their lives, they were able to receive food, water, bedding and other bits from the rescue party some 14 metres away through a small 90mm pipe - anything to make them more comfortable. One of the items they requested was to have our own Kevin Bloody Wilson downloaded onto their ipods, to keep their spirits and the level of enthusiasm up, in this seemingly dire predicament.

In learning this news, Kev sent a special package to each of the boys, with a personal note letting them know how much we, as normal Australians, were overjoyed and moved to hear the emotional news of their rescue, and offer them a -Kev’ show at a later date when everything settles down.

Below is a recording we received from Brant Webb, one of the miners, Thanking Kev for his support.
