KEV’S THOUGHTS ON THE TRAGIC DEATH OF STEVE IRWIN - THE CROCODILE HUNTER

Filed under: Kev Talks Crap — Administrator @ 11:11 am

Even though Steve and Kev never met, they share the same passion for Australia, and the tongue in cheek larrikin style that makes Australians a unique race. We, like everyone in Australia were saddened to hear of the passing of one of our greatest ambassadors.

nullAfter sitting down with Kev this morning discussing yesterday’s events, Kev wanted to make a statement about the late, great Steve Irwin.

-I WANT TO RELAY MY VERY BEST THOUGHTS AND WISHES TO STEVE’S WIFE TERRI AND KIDS.

TO EVERYONE YOUNGER THAN STEVE, HE WAS LIKE A BIG BROTHER, AND TO EVERYONE MY GENERATION, HE WAS LIKE A YOUNGER BROTHER, ANNOYING AT TIMES, BUT LOVED AND RESPECTED ALL OF THE TIME.

HIS PASSING HAS LEFT A BIG HOLE IN THE HEART OF AUSTRALIA.

  1. I watched the tribute programme to Steve last night and it hit home again just what a loss his passing is to the world. As a result of his enthusiasm and passion my kids love wildlife and every chance they get go out to explore. Without “Croc Hunter” they would never have shown the interest they do now. There ought to be more like him in the world, because if there were there wouldn’t be half the endangered species there are today.
Love to Terri and the kids, my heart goes out to you.
    God Bless xxxx

  8. if it wasn’t for steve irwin many kids wouldn’t have been interested in crocs and spiders and all the other animals that he introduced to us. what he did was fun as well as educational and i hope his family continue his legacy and keep his work going. they can be proud of what he did. pity there isn’t more people like steve in the world. good luck to terri and the kids, and to steve, you will be missed fella.

  13. The world is a poorer place for Steves departure from it. I suppose he knew he would get “tagged” one day, but he was right about one thing. He said he would never be killed by a Croc. RIP

  14. A legend, a great bloke, and a bloody good Aussie…. We’ve had steve on the TV over here in the UK for a number of years now and although most people thought he was a nutter, everyone had huge respect for the guy. His passion and enthusiasm for what he was doing were second to none. He will be missed and there will never be anyone who will shout “Crikey!” in quite the same way as Steve. Our thoughts are with Terri, Bindi and Bob. R.I.P. Steve.

  15. Some nice comments there Kev. I don’t think there’s a bloke (or Sheila) anywhere who won’t miss the bloke. He entertained millions not Just in Aus but around the world. Rest in peace Stevo …

  22. when I heard I couldn’t believe it, never mind the kids watching Steve, I couldn’t switch the station myself. He was a credit to the whole of Austrailia, his parents family and friends who seemed to be with all the time.
there has been one thing that has pissed me off over the coverage and that has been the begrudgers, in particular the incident with his son Bob, I tell you one thing I would rather be dangled in front of a Salty by Steve Irwin than dangled over a balconey by Michael Jackson.
Steve Rocked and I would love to love my job as much as he did his.
