We know he's a song writer, but a straight song writer? You might be surprised to know that KEV has written many (clean) tracks over the years for other artists. Most have gone gold or platinum. Pretty impressive, no?

So when it came time to record the RHYTHMS & ROOTS song for the Nashville Episode, KEV'S first choice of artist was country music legend, CHARLEY PRIDE

KEV first met Charley when he (KEV) was in his twenties, and a radio disc jockey in Kalgoorlie. He interviewed Charley then, and continued to be a huge fan of Charley's work. KEV would tell you in a heartbeat that Charley is one of his all-time heroes in the business. So to write a song, and then see Charley record, has that smile firmly planted on KEV'S face!

We can't wait to hear the song!

Fun fact:
KEV once saw Charley perform live, then stay after the show for hours, signing autographs and meeting fans. At the time, this blew KEV away, and impressed him so much, that it's now something that KEV insists on doing after all his concerts.
